Today was a testament to the phrase "you can do it right or you can do it cheap." We got hit by a microburst today at our outdoor event. There was extensive damage to the property, but our lighting, sound and video rig survived virtually unscathed. We had a 245' long x 125' deep structure at 30' high with over 77,000 # of ballast and our structure stood firm to the wind. The property was evacuated by the Las Vegas FD and with a couple of minor exceptions everyone and all horses got out safely. Alot of planning and engineering go into all outdoor gigs to ensure that everyone who attends gets to go home in the event of storms like this. ADV Productions thanks our team out here with us, who in the midst of the incredibly powerful storm helped to ensure a quick evacuation and public safety as our biggest concern. Our team was truly amazing and all jumped into action when it hit out of nowhere. To our team, you are why we always can say we have the best in the business. We have a team who truly cares.
