Before that, he was the 1994 USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car champ.

And in 1996, he won the at Indiana's Terre Haute Action Track!

The 55th is on tap this Friday night, October 3 at Terre Haute!

The 55th Annual Tony Hulman Classic thunders into the Terre Haute Action Track on Friday, October 3, 2025! The USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship and Modifieds are ready to tear up the dirt — and you don’t want to miss it.

📅 Race Day Rundown:

3:00 PM – Pits open

5:00 PM – Gates open

6:00 PM – Drivers meeting

6:30 PM – Qualifying & straight into racing action!

🎟 Admission Options:

$30 Grandstand Tickets (Kids 12 & under FREE!)

$40 Pit Pass (includes grandstand + pit access)

$15 Infield Admission (tunnel by Turn 1)

🎉 A Huge THANK YOU to Everyone Who Has Donated So Far! 🎉

We’re beyond grateful for the support our GoFundMe has received! Your donations are helping us upgrade the Terre Haute Action Track to a professional-grade sound system — and we want to be transparent about where the funds are going.

🎯 Sound Coverage Goals
We’ve heard concerns about audio in the infield and during races, and here’s how we’re addressing it:

🔊 Stage One: Covered Grandstands
Only 2 of the 30-watt speakers currently work. We’re replacing them with 6–8 JBL AWC129 200-watt speakers powered by all-new amps and all-new wiring.

💰 Estimated Cost: $12,000–$15,000

Old: 109dB peak (only for short bursts)

New: 122dB continuous — louder, clearer, richer audio

Your donations are directly funding this first and most needed stage!

🏟️ Phase Two: Infield Upgrade
The infield has just six 30-watt speakers now. We’ll install 8–12 JBL 200-watt speakers, expanding both volume and coverage.

🪑 Phase Three: Uncovered Grandstands
These will get similar upgrades to ensure full coverage across the track.

⚠️ Race Day Volume Reality
Cars hit 130dB in the pits and 110–120dB on track. While nothing can overpower that during racing, this new system will drastically improve pre-race, caution, and post-race clarity as well as boosting the volume so it can be heard more during the race.
