Sycamore Video - ISU Student Media

Sycamore Video - ISU Student Media Television/News/Film branch of Indiana State University Student Media. Sycamore Video produces weekly programs which air on ISU's campus cable channel 20.

The purpose of this organization is to foster campus-based video production, to encourage electronic media excellence, and to provide experiential opportunities for Indiana State students, particularly those in the Department of Communication, to participate in television production and to produce creative, professional programming. Some programs include "This Week at ISU," a traditional newscast,

and "Almost Live," a talk show that features different campus personalities each week. Sycamore Video also hosts the annual Sycamore Video Expo, a short film festival open to all ISU students, in April. The submitted videos are viewed and voted on by a secret panel of judges prior to the event. All the videos are then shown during the Expo and the winners receive the coveted Woody Award.

Former Sycamore Video news anchor Rondrell Moore (Class of 2008) was in Columbus, Indiana recently, where he stopped by on ISU Foundation business to visit another former Sycamore Video news anchor Karen Torres (Class of 2021). It's really cool students from different eras get an opportunity to interact!

The College of Arts & Sciences raised $155,725 during Give to Blue Day yesterday on campus. Each of the top four departments could select people to get a pie in their face as a reward(?) The Student Media representative was our own Martha Milner! She seemed to really enjoy it!
