The wild horse and burro adoption is coming up in Idabel, September 25-26, at the Idabel Rodeo Arena at the McCurtain County Fairgrounds! This event will feature 150 wild horses and burros, fees start at $25, bring a stock trailer and take your favorite horse or burro home! Gates open 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Friday, September 25, with the adoption beginning at 10 a.m., and 8 a.m. - noon on Saturday, September 26.

Burros will be available for adoption at the wild horse and burro adoption in Idabel Rodeo Arena, September 25-26! Did you know that burros are used to protect herd animals like cattle, sheep, and goats? Burros or donkeys, naturally run off coyotes, wild dogs or the neighbor’s dogs. They can also be used as a companion animal for an older horse or just as a curious pet!
