Breaking News: The Sierra Leone Police has launched a disciplinary tribunal in Kabala following the alleged death of 40-year-old Santigie Kamara in police custody at Dalakuru, Diang Chiefdom.

Two officers are still at large, accused of directly assaulting the deceased, while two others have appeared before the CDIID tribunal, pleading guilty to disciplinary charges.

AIG Victor Manfred Williams has assured the public of justice and visited the victim’s family. Security remains tight in the region as joint police and military patrols continue in Koinadugu District.

According to reports, the operation—led by Divisional Operations Officer DSP Saio Conteh—uncovered seven (7) bundles of suspected cannabis sativa, locally referred to as “Jamba,” found in the possession of the suspects without lawful authority. The operation was carried out at approximately 0600 hours.
