The removal of the outer casing and top stones of the Egyptian pyramids reveals a deeply fascinating and complex reality of history. In ancient times, the outer layer of the Great Pyramids of Giza was covered in gleaming white Tura limestone, which shone like gold in the sunlight. Over time, as dynasties, religions, and powers shifted in Egypt, so did people's perspectives toward these monuments.
During the 12th to 14th centuries, major earthquakes struck Cairo, loosening the outer layer of the pyramids. Subsequently, during the Islamic and medieval eras, Mamluk and Fatimid sultans used these massive stones as a ready-made quarry to build new mosques, palaces, and city walls. During the reign of Sultan Saladin and his successors, stones hauled from these very pyramids were used to construct the Citadel of Cairo and the famous Sultan Hassan Mosque.
This was not a sudden act of destruction, but rather the result of shifting political and religious priorities over time. The stones that were once symbols of the Pharaohs' immortality and ancient faith became, for subsequent generations, merely sturdy and free building material. Thus, different cultures thriving on the exact same land dismantled ancient history according to their needs to forge a new history of their own.

We are not alone... this question has fascinated humanity for centuries. There are billions of galaxies in the universe, and each galaxy contains billions of stars. Scientists have so far discovered thousands of exoplanets located in zones around their stars where liquid water might be possible. The search for conditions necessary for life also continues on celestial bodies like Mars, Europa, and Enceladus. However, no direct and conclusive evidence of life beyond Earth has been found yet.
The most mysterious aspect is that if intelligent civilizations do exist in the universe, why haven't they contacted us? This is what is linked to the "Fermi Paradox." Scientists are searching for radio signals and other potential technological signatures to detect the existence of a distant civilization. It is possible that the universe is indeed teeming with life, but due to vast distances, we simply haven't been able to reach each other. Perhaps we are not alone... perhaps the greatest discovery in the universe is still waiting for us.

Imagine standing on the shore of a vast ocean, holding an empty spoon in your hand. You scoop up a little sea water into that spoon, examine it closely, and declare with absolute conviction—"There are no whales in this ocean, because there isn't a single one in my spoon!"
As absurd and childish as this sounds, this is the exact same mistake we humans are making when it comes to the universe and aliens.
Our universe is trillions of times larger and deeper than even an endless ocean. To this day, the fraction of space we have scanned with our most advanced telescopes and spacecraft is not even equal to a single spoonful of water taken from that ocean. Our reach is so limited, yet we claim that life in this vast universe exists only on our Earth.
It is possible that a civilization is so far away that their signals are still centuries away from reaching us, or perhaps they are constantly observing us and we simply aren't yet capable of understanding them. When a single spoonful of water cannot reveal the reality of the entire ocean, are we truly alone in this infinite universe, or are our eyes simply not yet ready to see it all?

On January 19, 2006, NASA launched the New Horizons spacecraft to explore the most mysterious edge of space. After completing a long and challenging 9.5-year journey spanning over 3 billion miles (about 5 billion kilometers), the spacecraft finally made its closest approach to Pluto on July 14, 2015. When it transmitted the first clear images of Pluto back to Earth, scientists worldwide were astounded. Previously, scientists had assumed Pluto was merely a lifeless, barren ball of ice, but the images revealed massive icy mountains towering over 11,000 feet (3,500 meters) high. These mountains are not made of ordinary snow, but of extremely hard water-ice, which becomes as solid as granite in Pluto's extreme sub-zero temperatures (-230°C). Additionally, a massive heart-shaped nitrogen glacier named 'Sputnik Planitia' and a blue haze from its thin atmosphere were also discovered. This historic flyby by New Horizons proved that the most distant dwarf planet in our solar system remains geologically alive and highly active today.

Submerged in the depths of the ocean off the coast of New Providence in the Bahamas, Ocean Atlas is the world's largest single underwater sculpture. This awe-inspiring artwork was created in 2014 by the renowned British sculptor and environmentalist Jason deCaires Taylor. The statue stands approximately 5.5 meters (18 feet) tall and weighs over 60 tons.
This sculpture is inspired by 'Atlas', the figure from Greek mythology who carries the entire sky on his shoulders. However, giving it a modern and local context, Taylor sculpted it as a young Bahamian girl kneeling down, appearing to bear the weight of the entire ocean on her shoulders.
The purpose of this sculpture is not limited to mere visual beauty; there is a profound environmental message behind it. It highlights the fragile state of our oceans, which are facing crises due to marine pollution, overfishing, and climate change. It is constructed from eco-friendly, pH-neutral cement so that it can gradually transform into an artificial reef. Over time, it is becoming a natural habitat for seaweed, corals, and fish, which helps maintain environmental balance by diverting tourists away from natural reefs.
