Been a busy week of work. Spent 5 days down in Houston with the team of photographers organized by shooting the CERAWeek conference. Returned Friday afternoon to prepare for my Saturday morning shoot for North Texas Catholic magazine. Then spent Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday shooting OT7 Football for the Associated Press. Just want to go home, take off my shoes and chill on the couch, but I have a ton of this football to go through. Busy is good but breaks are good too.

While waiting for my daughter to pick out her books for the book fair after school, I flipped through this book and found a photo I shot during the 2023-24 season for . Looked on the credits page and found some other local photographers with photos in the book as well. Its fun finding my photos out in the wild where I don't expect them.

I remember the first rolling case I ever got for my photo gear. After a few years of heavy use the rubber wheels wore down to a plastic core that were loud when I rolled into sports venues. I tried to replace them but there was no way. I then decided invest in a Think Tank roller because I had heard good things about their warranty and customer service. My original Airport TakeOff they replaced with a TakeOff V2.0 due to a zipper that broke because of a design flaw. And this week, after one of my wheels stopped rolling, a quick call to customer service got some new wheels sent my way. Thanks for being the best rolling cases out there. Definitely worth the investment.

Spotted in the wild as I was waiting to get an inspection and oil change. My first cover photo featuring Dr. Rachael Capua, vice president and Dean of Tarleton State University's Fort Worth Campus for a story on women who are leading the way in higher education in Fort Worth and Tarrant County. I'll share more photos in an upcoming post. Thanks Craig Sylva and for the assist on this shoot.
