This is the difference between Italian plums and Asian plums. Can you tell the difference?

This is the difference between Italian plums and Japanese plums. The Italian plum tree in the foreground has a more lateral growth pattern with branches growing in every direction. The Japanese plum tree has a more v-shaped pattern with most of the branches growing up at a 45° angle from the trunk.
