Had a fascinating experience dining in downtown Leesburg this weekend that got me thinking about a bigger question. A couple sitting near us had to leave one restaurant due to a strict "no modifications" menu policy regarding a severe allergy, but ended up having an incredible night of hospitality at another.

Oak & Stone construction in Eastport is definitely moving along.

One thing that’s easy to forget when visiting Eastport right now is that a lot of the area is still actively being built out.

Eastport may still feel early-stage on certain nights, but there’s clearly a lot more coming over the next couple years.

It’ll be interesting to see how much the energy changes once more restaurants, shops, and gathering spots open up.

Eastport last night around prime dinner time.

For everyone who thinks every part of The Villages is packed every night… not quite yet.

There’s still a lot of excitement and potential around Eastport, but right now it feels very early-stage compared to places like Brownwood or Lake Sumter.

Curious to see how this area evolves over the next couple years.
