Estranged boyfriend learns sentence after conviction for killing woman outside daycare as she held their child.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A 25-year-old man has learned his sentence after he was convicted of shooting and killing the mother of his child at a DeKalb County daycare, according to the district attorney's office.
On Wednesday, a jury found Taco Nash Jr. guilty of malice murder, four counts of felony murder, aggravated assault (family violence), two counts of kidnapping, aggravated stalking, first-degree cruelty to children, and gun possession charges.

The incident happened on June 15, 2022, at the daycare center on Snapfinger Drive in unincorporated Decatur. Officers received a call about a kidnapping.
The victim, 22-year-old Mi'ckeya Montgomery, was there to pick up her and Nash's young child when he showed up unexpectedly.
According to the district attorney's office, the two had a "tumultuous relationship," where they were involved in violent incidents.
The court ordered that the two should not contact each other. Montgomery told the daycare staff that if Nash showed up at the center, they should call 911, according to a release from the district attorney's office.
On the day of the murder, Nash confronted Montgomery and their child. He tried to convince the 22-year-old mother to leave with him, but instead, a daycare employee pulled Montgomery and the child back into the building and called 911.

That's when, according to the district attorney's office, Nash forced his way in and chased the two around the building while several children and staff were in the building.

He then pointed a gun at Montgomery and threatened to shoot her in the face, then forced her and the child out the back door, over a fence and into a wooded area, the release stated.

Daycare staff then heard screaming coming from the wooded area and called 911 again for help. A family member of Montgomery's, who was tracking her phone, arrived and attempted to locate her. Police arrived shortly after the family member, who informed them they were in the woods behind the daycare. As officers went toward the area, they heard a single gunshot, the news release added.

After several minutes, Nash came from the wooded area with his child in his arms, claiming Montgomery had shot herself. The child was covered in blood and taken to the hospital for medical attention, while Nash was taken into custody.

Montgomery was found dead in the woods and was shot in the head. A firearm was found under her hand, but the DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office determined that someone shot her, according to the release.

Prosecutors added that Montgomery's family member shared with officers that Nash called her before coming from the woods and admitted to killing the 22-year-old mother.

The district attorney's office believes that Montgomery was holding their child when she was shot.

Nash was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, two additional life sentences and 60 years.

According to a chilling report in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, IDF commanders are ordering soldiers to fire directly into unarmed crowds lining up for food. The policy has been dubbed Operation Salted Fish — the Israeli name for the children’s game “Red Light, Green Light” — in an act of cruelty straight out of Netflix’s Squid Game.

The four aid sites for the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation began operation in May, and since then Haaretz confirms at least 19 shootings, with more reported. “It’s a killing field,” one IDF whistleblower said. “Where I was stationed, between one and five people were killed every day.”

From Haaretz:

The distribution centers typically open for just one hour each morning. According to officers and soldiers who served in their areas, the IDF fires at people who arrive before opening hours to prevent them from approaching, or again after the centers close, to disperse them. Since some of the shooting incidents occurred at night – ahead of the opening – it’s possible that some civilians couldn’t see the boundaries of the designated area.

Making matters worse, there isn’t enough food to go around, and rations are distributed chaotically. If Palestinians in the Gaza Strip don’t rush the aid sites as soon as they open, they risk going hungry.

The people seeking aid are “treated like a hostile force,” one soldier said. “No crowd-control measures, no tear gas, just live fire with everything imaginable: heavy machine guns, gr***de launchers, mortars. Then, once the center opens, the shooting stops, and they know they can approach. Our form of communication is gunfire.”

The same soldier continued, “We open fire early in the morning if someone tries to get in line from a few hundred meters away, and sometimes we just charge at them from close range. But there’s no danger to the forces.” They added, “I’m not aware of a single instance of return fire. There’s no enemy, no weapons.”

he IDF’s Military Advocate General has ordered an investigation into suspected war crimes.

Consequence stands with the Palestinian people and the millions of Israeli citizens who oppose the ongoing genocide. Hopefully reality will stop resembling one of the grimmest shows ever produced. But the power of art remains its capacity to transform us. Almost every person who watched Squid Game imagined themselves in that iconic “Red Light, Green Light” lineup.

Now imagine doing it every day.

Why don't we see all the PRO LIFE people protesting all the killing going on in Gaza???? Someone please explain.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A man was shot dead after an argument with his nephew over a honey bun in DeKalb County on Thursday.

According to DeKalb County warrants, 29-year-old Michael Crowley got angry when he found out his uncle, 48-year-old Roderick Crowley, had eaten his honey bun from the refrigerator. A witness told Michael to calm down and leave the house, but he came back and allegedly shot Roderick four times in the chest and arms, killing him.

Warrants say Michael then called 911 and told the operator that he shot Roderick and was hiding in the woods. A police dog later found Michael’s gun.

DeKalb police first responded to the shooting shortly after 11:20 a.m. last Thursday at the 4100 block of Loveless Drive in the Ellenwood community.

Michael has been charged with malice murder. The court showed he was released on bond and waived his right to an initial hearing.

On Saturday night in Hermitage, a 16-year-old was shot multiple times and killed.

Police have charged 18-year-old Raphael Jobehdari. He has been taken into custody and charged with the murder of Zeppelin Phillips, the 16-year-old who died.

The shooting happened near Phillips' Hallborough Way home, police say. They found Phillips lying in the roadway injured at 6:30 p.m., and immediately rushed him to Vanderbilt where he died.

SWAT officers executed a search warrant at Jobehdari's house. They believe the motive involved an anticipated gun sale, as they recovered three guns while searching Jobehdari's home.

Police say this is the second fatal shooting Jobehdari has been involved in. On January 31, he and Gavin Dauzart, 18, shot at each other during a drug robbery in Bellevue. Dauzart died, and Jobehdari was shot in the abdomen and leg. He claimed he was shooting in self-defense, and no charges were placed.
