Attention Sweetwater Gym users!. Please take this brief survey. The Central Savannah Regional Commission is assisting us with submitting final grant documents for the rehabilitation of the old gym on Main Street. This CDBG grant opportunity will allow us to utilize the gym for recreational activities in addition to serving as an emergency shelter.

The Thomson–McDuffie County Recreation Department is surveying interest in Fall Baseball and Softball to help determine participation levels and guide our planning for the upcoming season.

While this is a quick turnaround, we are committed to listening to our community and trying to build a program that meets the needs of our families. To make Fall Ball a success, we need both player participation and volunteers. Scorekeepers, Umpires, Coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, and other volunteers are essential, and we cannot make this happen without your support.

Graduation Changes!

Due to the high probability of dangerous weather on Friday evening, May 22, the Thomson High School Class of 2026 voted overwhelmingly to postpone graduation to Saturday morning, May 23.
