Cyclist Matt King will make a stop in George West on Thursday, May 28, from 7:30 to 8 a.m. at the George West City Hall parking lot.

King is currently riding more than 2,000 miles from the Texas-Mexico border to Canada. Along the journey, he hopes to provide $1 million in gifts to people and communities in need — and the George West community is hoping to be one of the recipients.

The public is invited to come out, support King’s efforts, meet him in person, and even ride along for a portion of the journey.
