On the Second to last weekend of September, North Greenville University hosted their annual parents' weekend. Accompanying the Saturday night football game was a family tailgate and activities. The Trailblazers almost pulled out one of the great upsets of the year, narrowly losing 17- 25 to the #3 nationally ranked University of West Florida.

Last but certainly not least, meet Karyn Campbell, the adviser of the Vision Online!

I love working with the talented photographers, writers and graphic designers on the Vision staff as I watch them develop their skills and gifts. It is wonderful to see them grow as creators through the work they produce for The Vision. In fact, the Vision staff have consistently garnered awards for their work through both state and national organizations and I can’t wait to see how they are recognized this year. I have been the Vision’s adviser since its inception in 2014 and I hope to continue for many years to come. From first draft to final edit, get to know The Vision staff that brings YOUR stories to life! Next, meet another one of our staff writers 📝

Greetings, internet traveler! You have journeyed long and reached the bio of one of the new staff writers for the Vision, Micah Webster! I am a junior majoring in Strategic Communication and I’m from… a lot of places. As a missionary kid, I lived in East Asia and the Middle East, but stateside I’m from Durham, NC. I’m all about understanding people and how we communicate, and journalism is a part of that. The biggest reason I’m writing for the Vision is because I want to grow in my journalistic ability and learn new skills that challenge me. However, while I love studying communication, I’m also a bit of a closet English major, and I love reading and writing. From Tolkien to Poe and Kipling to Edwards, I love literature, and I’m passionate about writing stories that honor God and reflect His beauty on earth. I’m excited to see how this semester plays out!

From first draft to final edit, get to know The Vision staff that brings YOUR stories to life! Meet our staff photographer ✨📸

My name is Nevaeh Pereira and I am a photographer for the Vision. I am from Asheville, NC. Eventually I would love to work in the broadcasting field and joining this team will give me the feel of what it is like being a field of news media where its foundation is built on Christ. I run track and field, sing, hike, draw and play the piano a little bit. My family had a big influence on my life with being in the media. My great grandpa was T.W Wilson who was Billy Graham’s right-hand man. I want to do what my Granddaddy and Uncle Billy did but wholeheartedly put God first in everything I do. I want to be a news anchor one day and continue my public speaking career.

🍂 A break to remember:
From October 2-5, NGU students enjoyed time off from school for fall break. Some went home to spend time with family or catch up on sleep, while others stayed on campus to participate in the football game or take part in activities both on and off campus for the long weekend. Read what students did over break by clicking the link below!

Hey everybody! My name is Emma Ogren, and I am so excited to join the staff and be writing for the Vision! I am a sophomore digital media major with a concentration in journalism. I am originally from a tiny town in Wisconsin called Balsam Lake and moved to the beautiful mountains to attend NGU. My goal with the vision is to explore our campus and the wonderful people who are a part of it. Everyone has a story to tell, and I am ready to be part of an outlet to tell those stories. If I am not writing, I am drinking coffee, reading romcoms or watching mockumentaries.
