That judgemental stare says it all! My feline conversion rate auditor is NOT impressed with my lead gen strategy.

The irony of being a web designer with a neglected website isn't lost on me. I can build beautiful, high-converting sites for clients all day long, but my own site? Let just say it needs some love.

This year, I'm taking a bold step and niching down my services to focus specifically on the hospitality industry.

Why? Because I believe in the power of specialization.

While I used to think that working with a variety of different businesses would keep me from getting bored, I've found a true passion for helping those in the hospitality industry thrive online.

From cozy bed and breakfasts to busy restaurants and wineries, these businesses create experiences that people cherish. And I'm dedicated to helping them create online experiences that match with the top-notch in-person service these businesses provide.

It's a risk, yes. But it's one I'm willing to take because of the impact I can make. By focusing my expertise, I can better understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing hospitality businesses and deliver truly exceptional results.

Things are feeling... chaotic right now.
- Social apps are changing
- AI is changing search and how we work
- Life keeps speeding up

But creativity will endure. So I will lean into creating beautiful, functional, and meaningful things.

First off... I'm devastated. To say that I love TikTok is an understatement. I absolutely adore all of the creators that I've learned some amazing things from and who have made me laugh, think, and try to better myself.

Second, this is the exact thing I warn people about. When we rely on apps to inform/teach/sell to our customers, we are building on rented ground.

The absolute best thing you can do for your business? Build your email list. An email list is YOURS and cannot be deleted without your permission.

Using your socials to funnel people to your website where they can sign up to your email list is gold. Don't rely on these platforms alone.
