Gust to 63 mph in Florence and 65 mph in Darlington over the last hour. Florence and Darlington Counties are both reporting widespread trees down.

4:16 PM - Strongest gusts of the day developing across the P*e Dee now with gusts over 50 mph. These are occurring ahead of the main line of storms. The storms will likely produce gusts to 60 mph in some areas.

40 SC counties, including Florence, remain under a TORNADO WATCH until 6p.m. There are currently TORNADO WARNINGS in FL, GA, SC, and VA which is consistent with the forecast from the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS). This system may continue to spawn severe cells over the next few hours. Please stay !

A Tornado Watch is issued when severe thunderstorms and tornadoes are possible in and near our area. It does not mean that they will occur. It only means they are possible.
