Tioga County to all cars and stations — stand by for a BOLO from NORAD and North Pole PD.

Tioga County, be on the lookout for one male subject reported traveling high above the snowy hills and rooftops tonight.

Description: round and jolly, big white beard, happy smile. Last seen in a bright red suit and hat with fluffy white trim, wide black belt, and shiny black boots. Subject carrying a large red bag of unknown items believed to be wrapped presents. Answers to Santa Claus, aliases Saint Nick and Chris Kringle. Not considered dangerous — history shows he’s generous, kind, and leaves gifts behind.

Subject operating a red sleigh with gold runners, call sign Jolly 1, reportedly pulled by nine magical reindeer.

Last known sightings: Owego, Waverly, Nichols, Tioga Center, Apalachin, Newark Valley, Berkshire, Candor, Spencer, Richford, and across Tioga County. Traveling faster than any aircraft and landing softly on rooftops delivering presents to every good boy and girl.

All units: no pursuit necessary. If contact is made, do not apprehend. Offer a quiet wave, whisper “thank you,” and let him continue spreading Christmas cheer.

WHAT...Heavy snow and some light mixed precipitation. Additional
snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches and ice accumulations
around a light glaze. This will bring storm totals to between 5 to
10 inches.

WHERE...In New York, Broome, Tioga, and Tompkins Counties. In
Pennsylvania, Northern Wayne and Susquehanna Counties.

WHEN...Until 4 PM EST this afternoon.

IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heaviest snow continues through the morning hours, then quickly tapers off to drizzle and higher elevation freezing drizzle this afternoon.
