It says a lot about the atmosphere when it comes time to move on and it’s THIS hard to say goodbye to your people! 💙
Mornings at 13abc will always have a special place in my heart.

It takes a particular kind of spirit, strength & mindset to do the AM shift - and I’ve learned it’s not easy to find that combo in one person.

But Meghan fit in from Day 1, showing up each day ready to go with no drama (🙏🏽😂). We can’t tell you how valuable that is (when everyone is running on fumes). You can learn skills … but your attitude is all your own.

Today is her last day with us. Our baby bird is flying from the tree. We’ll miss the laughs … but join us in wishing her all the best in the Motor City! 💙

I never knew it would be so hard to say goodbye.

Right after I graduated college, I moved to Toledo. You all welcomed me with open arms, making me feel like I really wasn’t that far from home.

I didn’t feel far from home, because Toledo BECAME home.

I’ve been blessed to be there on some of your best days- winning awards, heroic homecomings and welcoming in the gift of new life.
I’ve been humbled to be there on some of your worst days- merciless house fires, tireless manhunts and discovering the tragic loss of a loved one at the hands of another.

Toledo, you have helped me grow more than I could have imagined over the last few years. For that, I am forever grateful.

August 2nd will be my final day at 13abc.
To the crew that became family over the last few years- words cannot express my gratitude. You’ve imparted on me an invaluable amount of wisdom, encouraged me and pushed me to be a better reporter.

I am excited to tell you, I won’t be going far! Just right up the road to WXYZ-TV Channel 7, Detroit!

Toledo, you will always have a special place in my heart.
