AJ/FF focuses on understanding Jesus in His lived context to create faith after Evangelicalism.

Ancient Jesus/Future Faith is focused on giving people the resources they need to read and understand the Bible (a.k.a. "The Text") in its historical context, freed from layers of misinterpretations forced upon it by religious and political leaders who have twisted Jesus's words to shore up their own power. Our goal is for each individual to heal from past trauma (especially that brought on by the

church), gain a deep understanding of Scripture, and become inspired to be a positive light in the world.

We have decided to go on hiatus for the foreseeable future.

We still recognize the importance of this project, as the current state of Christianity is, well, bleak. We originally wanted to give people the tools they need to recover from bad theology and harmful church experiences...to create a space in which they could feel safe to explore their faith questions. We still believe these are worthwhile endeavors, and we know we all desperately need an alternative narrative to the harmful religious narratives we currently get (at least in the United States). Unfortunately, we just don't have the bandwidth to be the ones doing this work right now.

We don't want to write AJ/FF off altogether, as we may come back to it; but for now, we have no plans for additional content. Our website will remain live for at least the next year, and all of our podcast episodes, livestreams, and other content are still available on YouTube (and/or podcasting services).

Don Schiewer Jr is still available for individual coaching. Please feel free to contact him if you are interested in that service.
