Residents of Klamath County, Oregon:

If you are a victim of a crime, and have Klamath County Sheriff's Office “Detective” CHAD GOLDEN assigned to your case, do not hesitate to say something.

Voice your concerns.

Document everything. Reach out to your county leaders.

Know your rights.

Cases go to die on Chad Golden’s desk — and if it wasn't for District Attorney David Schutt’s intervention — my mom's case would have.

He has no business wearing the badge, with his bare-minimum work ethic, and unwavering power to endanger the credibility of a case, and its successful prosecution.

A victim should never have to investigate the crime they were victimized by because they were assigned “Detective” Chad Golden….

… and yet, if you are a crime victim in KC, and your case is assigned to him, that is most assuredly what will happen.

So I will end as I started, speak up & voice your concerns. KCSO leadership may not listen to you, but others will. 💕

❗️UPDATE❗️

I have been in contact with the Executive Director of the Klamath Basin Senior Center.

She let me know Renee Towon has “assisted informally” and “(Ms. Towon) is not authorized to volunteer or assist in any capacity moving forward”.

I let her know that while I understand Ms. Towon is innocent until proven guilty, the charges against her are serious, and relate to the exploitation of a senior citizen in her county. My family believes her to be dangerous.

I appreciate KBSC looking into the matter, and believe the executive director when she says, “The safety and wellbeing of our seniors is, and will always remain, my highest priority.”

It has been brought to my attention that one of the defendants in my mother’s case ➖ RENEE PEREIRA (a.k.a. RENEE TOWON) ➖ has been volunteering at a local senior center in Klamath County, Oregon
(Klamath Basin Senior Center)

This is highly concerning.

RENEE TOWON is currently on release from the Klamath County Jail, after being indicted by a Grand Jury, charged with 13 FELONIES. Her indictment, list of charges, and photograph are below.

My mother was a senior citizen, and I do not want another family to endure what my family has to.

Please be cautious all.
