I began my wellness journey by way of hiking with my dog Rama. After 5 years of surgical procedures left me depressed and overweight, I sought to reclaim not only my body but my spirit by hiking in some of the most beautiful spots in the world. No matter your age, you can always change your life. It's never too late to follow your dreams!

Four years ago I set off, nervous and excited beyond belief. I was embarking on a 200+ mile journey—on foot and alone—across Scotland.

The Calanais standing stones on the Isle of Lewis are older than Stonehenge. You may recognize them as the inspiration for Outlander’s Craig na Dun. They have been a place of ritual activity for more than 2,000 years. It is believed that they were originally an ancient astronomical observatory.
