⚡️Breaking (imaginary) Village News⚡️
This week’s bake is cooling, the flour clouds are settling, and the Village is—well, let’s just say it’s never boring.
• The intern (who may or may not be a real person) has once again staged a walkout after being denied hazard pay for sprinkle duty. 🙄
• The Village Council (who may or may not exist) is drafting legislation declaring sourdough Pop-Tarts as the official currency.
• And the Village Baker? She’s over here wondering how one woman can run both a real microbakery and a fictional Village economy at the same time 😩

First, 💛 A big thank you to everyone who’s already placed their orders this week—you’re the best! Orders are still open, I need to have them all by Sunday evening, so there’s still time if you haven’t snagged yours yet.

✨ Starting in September, we’re moving to a bi-weekly preorder schedule—prioritizing family rhythms while still keeping your bread baskets full. (Most items freeze beautifully, and storage/reheating tips are always included.)
Menus will open earlier, so you’ll have at least a full 7–10 days to place orders.

Writing it has quickly become one of my favorite parts of this work—it’s where I get to connect with you beyond the algorithm, share behind-the-scenes stories, and let you peek at who we really are.
Think of it as our little loaf-note community on paper.
✨ And because community is a two-way street, you’ll also find a QR code tucked inside that leads to fun polls and surveys—my way of actually hearing from you, not just whoever happens to scroll past a Facebook post.

🎉 Starting this Wednesday, you’ll be able to grab your sourdough there from 3–7pm. If you haven’t met Joe, you’re in for a treat—literally.
He creates some of the most creative seasonal ice cream flavors you’ll ever taste, and his motto is simple: Jesus and ice cream.
Honestly, I think he’s onto something—because paired with sourdough, that’s about as close to heaven on earth as it gets🍞🍨
