"Never Forget' Every 9-11, I agree with the sentiment, no doubt. But for me, it's: how could you ever forget? The images remain seared in my mind. The towers me and my brother god rest his soul used to cut school and run through, doing stuff we damn sure shouldn't have been. Watching those towers burn, it played in living color as I watched Americans who just went to work to feed their families and chase their American dream, dangling 100s of stories above to escape the blaze, finally give up, accept their fate, and just let go
The amazing stories of Americans helping each other, crying together, and feeling somehow prouder than ever before to be American.

Through today, when so many soldiers are missing limbs, some ravaged by PTSD, but all true heroes. We all hurt together it was something I am not sure we can ever capture again. But what remains is that we all remember together today, somehow bound by hurt but forever proud to be an American. God bless all who sacrificed in our names to preserve freedom, and God bless the United States of America

Im baaaaacckk. Two weeks away from it all and I return to a complete joke with the same clowns blowing up our town to regain power. Over development, pay to play, patronage and the good old boys club thats all that matters.

You can't put the genie back in the bottle. Once we allow them to give in to special interests and favors for friends, it's done. Our towns become overdeveloped cities, so many have escaped to live a better life. It's every town in our county: the same bad actors, the same pay-to-play network. It's a plague, and it will destroy us.

They did the unthinkable and left our town on the brink of disaster. All just to pay back contributors and, in more than one case, gain financially from these hideous apartment towers downtown. We will deal with this tomorrow, but in the meantime, a few questions.

Should a councilman be allowed to vote on or discuss other legislation that affects downtown when he owns multiple properties and stands to gain from a project that the far majority of residents do not want?

Would you want the original vote on the project thrown out if you found out that more than one councilman who voted on the project originally also owned property downtown and stood to gain?

Can we ever have a functioning governing body when the council president says, "You don't keep us informed or talk to us, so we don't know what's going on. Then is told by the mayor I tried calling you several times. And the response was, "Oh yeah, I'm not answering your calls." You can't make this up. Downtown Davey deals Congrats you are number one on the time to send your ass home list.

A court-approved affordable housing settlement collapsed during a Toms River council meeting Wednesday night, potentially placing the township in jeopardy of facing so-called "builder's remedy" lawsuits if the matter is not settled by an Aug. 26 deadline. The case will, likely, end up back in the ha

The next few days will decide the future of our town. Starting with the council meeting tonight and the hearing this week regarding our affordable housing plan. Either we will control the future of the development of our town, or it will be decided by builders and the state. Yes, it's that serious. We must demand the obstruction by the majority council stops. We must demand they stop forcing these apartment towers down our throats. Email and share, and don't stop; get those emails in today and flood their boxes; let them know.

Video coming tomorrow, but in the meantime take a look at this! How does it feel as residents that the Council Majority and there mouhpieces continue to shove a downtown hulking apartment tower down your throat, knowing that the lawyer for the only bidder on the project also accepted the bids for the town and was a major contributor to the Mayor and Council? ONE BIDDER ON A MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR PROJECT IN THE WHOLE STATE! ONE OF THE REASONS THE MAYOR WAS ELECTED OVERWHELMINGLY WAS TO STOP THIS MONSTROSITY!!! ..But the council has obstructed and tried to run out the clock on our affordable housing deal so this political payback is shoved down YOUR throats.

Robert C. Shea is a prominent local attorney in Toms River, New Jersey, who represents the Capodagli Property Company—the developer behind the controversial Meridia Toms River downtown redevelopment project. The connection between Robert Shea, the Capodagli Group, and the Meridia project involves several key components:The Meridia Toms River ProjectThe Development: The project, originally proposed as two 10-story apartment towers along the Toms River waterfront, was downscaled to a six-story building containing roughly 281 residential units and ground-level retail space.Legal Representation: Robert Shea of R.C. Shea & Associates has served as the long-time legal representative for Capodagli (operating as Meridia Toms River 40 Urban Renewal, LLC) throughout the municipal planning, public hearings, and approval stages.Political & Local Controversy Political Fallout: The Meridia development became a central flashpoint in Toms River politics. Opponents, including current Mayor Daniel Rodrick, ran on anti-overdevelopment platforms targeting the project. Critics frequently noted that revised project blueprints were initially revealed at a political fundraiser hosted at Shea's private residence for former Mayor Maurice "Mo" Hill. Alleged Conflicts of Interest: Local transparency groups and political opponents have raised concerns regarding Shea’s multi-faceted community roles. Aside from representing the private developer, Shea has served as the Chairman of the Toms River Business Improvement District (BID), drawing scrutiny from critics who allege a conflict of interest between his civic capacities and his representation of the redeveloper.

Bids for the controversial downtown Toms River redevelopment project (involving the Meridia apartment project by Capodagli Property Co.) were accepted by attorney Robert Shea on behalf of the township. Project and Bidding Details: Developer: Meridia Toms River 40 Urban Renewal LLC (owned by Capodagli Property Co.) was the primary bidder/redeveloper involved in the downtown tract.Township Representation: Attorney Robert Shea accepted bids/handled arrangements for the municipality while also facing scrutiny regarding local professional representation ties.Current Status: The legal and political battle over the downtown redevelopment and housing plans has continued through ongoing state court rulings and mediation ordered by Superior Court Judge Sean Gertner.
