                                            Business Owners: Don’t Cave, Strive.
We’ve lived through the dot-com bubble burst, 9/11, the 2008 crash, the COVID shutdowns, inflation scares, you name it. Every time, the news screamed disaster. And every time, we saw two kinds of business owners: the ones who froze and the ones who kept moving forward. Guess who survived? Guess who grew?
The economy will always rise and fall. Fear whispers, “Hide. Wait it out.” But winners don’t wait, they act.
👉 If you can’t afford big marketing expenditures right now, focus on small, steady marketing. Consistency is more powerful than one big campaign. Keep your name in front of people, keep showing up.
Here are things you can do that cost little (or nothing):
👉 Use email: Stay connected with your existing customers. A simple check-in, an update, or a helpful tip keeps you top of mind.
👉 Educate: Share advice, tips, or guides that help your customers.
👉 Connect: Pick up the phone or send a thoughtful message, relationships matter.
👉 Offer extras: Throw in a little bonus, fix a small issue for free, or give more than expected.
👉 Promote others: Highlight your customers or other local businesses on your social media.
👉 Be flexible: Work with people when they’re struggling. That goodwill lasts forever.
When others are retreating, this is your chance to stand out. Don’t cave. Strive. Lead. Give. Show up. Because when the dust settles, your customers will remember how you treated them in the hard times.
