update: Tonganoxie football battled Eudora last week in an exciting Frontier League clash that went down to the wire. Though THS lost, 21-17, the Chieftains still currently are the No. 4 seed in the Class 4A East Bracket at 4-3. Ottawa, tonight's opponent on the road, also is 4-3 and holds the No. 3 spot.

Eudora is the No. 1 seed in the Class 4A bracket and No. 2 ranked team in all of 4A, but Tonganoxie gave the Cardinals fits Friday in a Frontier League rivalry game. update: Tonight's the night for Tonganoxie Business Association's big annual Spooktacular event. It's 6-8 p.m. Tonganoxie Public Library and Tonganoxie Recreation Commission also are teaming up for a Haunted Hollow walk-through at the library during that time.

Spooktacular will be 6-8 p.m. Friday in downtown Tonganoxie. Youths and their families are welcome to stroll down Fourth Street as businesses and organizations hand out candy during the popular annual event. Tonganoxie Business Association sponsors the event. update: Kickoff for Tonganoxie-Eudora football game Friday now will be 6 p.m. due to anticipated inclement weather coming later in the evening.

Friday’s Tonganoxie-Eudora football game will start an hour early due to forecasted inclement weather later in the evening. The game now will start at 6 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. at Beatty Field. Senior Night festivities will take place ahead of the game. THS is 4-2 and Eudora 5-1 entering the game.
