Think you know microneedling? Let’s put a few common beliefs to the test. 👀
Is it too painful? Can darker skin tones be treated? Do at-home rollers give you the same results? And should you expect your skin to change overnight?

In this quick True or False Q&A, we’re clearing up some of the most common misconceptions about professional microneedling.

Microneedling works by supporting your skin’s natural collagen production and can be used to address more than acne scars. Depending on your goals, it may help improve the appearance of texture, tone, pores, and fine lines.

But good results take time. Collagen builds gradually over the weeks following treatment, and we often recommend a series of three treatments spaced about one month apart. Deeper scarring may require additional sessions based on the individual.

And professional treatment matters. The depth, sterility, and results of professional microneedling are not the same as using an at-home roller. Treatment should be performed by an appropriately trained, licensed provider.

👻 Topeka, let's make sure every kid gets a costume this Halloween.

The Refinery has partnered with SENT Topeka, a local nonprofit doing incredible work for kids and families right here in our community, and The Refinery Medical Aesthetics is officially a drop-off location for their costume drive.

Here is how to help. Now through September 30th, bring new or gently used children's Halloween costumes to the donation bin by The Refinery's front door. Every costume goes straight to a kid who needs one.

Then stop by the front desk, because every donor gets entered to win a complimentary 75 minute Zombie Facial (a $250 value). 🧟‍♀️

You don’t have to be a patient. You just have to care about Topeka's littles.

All costumes will be handed out at SENT's free giveaway on Saturday, October 10th from 9 to 11 a.m. at 455 SE Golf View Blvd.

Dig through the closet, grab that costume they wore once, drop it off, and let's fill that bin!!!!
