Beautiful Broken Souls is finally out in the world! This album has everything...killer instrumentation, profound lyrics, beauty, intensity, vulnerability.

Joey Crofoot has been wow'ing me with his songwriting and live performances for years now. I had the pleasure of listening to demos he recorded a while back and have been looking forward to this album being completed, and all those acoustic guitar and piano songs being expanded into full arragements with supporting bass, drums, and electric guitar.

Top City author and Speak Easy Poet Jaedon Blocker was recently interviewed by Washburn Student Media for a lovely feature spotlighting his burgeoning work as a published poet, and his development as a community member teaching young kids, furthering his education at Washburn, and his involvement in local arts and sports. Look forward to the follow-up to his first book of poetry, "Maybe Someday, Maybe Someday" in April of 2025.

We are in the final stages of publishing the first speak easy poets anothology. For a little "taste", try out these first couple stanzas from Kay Duganator's poem "Food Brought to My Table". It's delicious.

Every guest brings food to my table.
So I was only mildly surprised
by your offering of words.

I took your poem, to add to the soup.
Scraping off the letters and mixing
them in slowly with my wooden spoon..
