🎉🎶 Happy 84th to the one and only Paul Anka! This Canadian-born crooner has been charming the world for decades, and many of us grew up with his voice playing through our homes, on the car radio, or echoing through a school dance gymnasium.

I still remember the first time I heard “Diana” — those opening notes, that heartbreak in his teenage voice — written when Paul was just 15 years old! Fifteen! Who writes a smash hit at that age? Paul Anka, that’s who. And that was just the beginning.

From “Put Your Head on My Shoulder” to “Lonely Boy,” his songs became the soundtrack to a generation’s daydreams and slow dances. And let's not forget: he wrote the English lyrics to “My Way” — yes, Frank Sinatra's anthem — and even worked with Elvis, Buddy Holly, and later, Michael Jackson. Not bad company, right?

Here's my favorite quote by Anka: "I don't look back. I look forward and plan new shows, new records, new ideas. The energy has to stay alive."

Did you know... Paul Anka was also one of the youngest performers to ever headline Las Vegas — and he kept reinventing himself through the '70s, '80s and beyond, even guest starring on shows like Gilmore Girls!

So here’s to Paul — for the timeless songs, the tuxedos, the teen idol charm, and the sheer longevity of a career that just keeps going. 🎤🎂
