I’m taking a little temporary step back from Giggling Frog Apparel for the remainder of the year so I can really focus on me. Hannah.
I will still be taking a few small custom orders, and I’ll absolutely finish the orders we currently have. But I won’t be accepting last-minute orders, and I’m giving myself permission to slow this part of my life down for a little while.
The reason is both incredibly simple and ridiculously complicated:
What does Hannah want when she isn’t trying to become someone, prove something, fix something, survive something, or be what somebody else needs? And f**k, that’s a much harder question than getting another degree or chasing another promotion. 😂❤️ There’s no application for this one. No checklist. No title at the end that tells me I did it right.
For the last year, I’ve been asking myself some version of, “What should my next goal be?” I’ve listened to the people who love me. I’ve heard their perspectives, their ideas, their concerns, and the things they see in me that sometimes I can’t see for myself. Those voices matter to me. They’re part of the conversation.
But they can’t be the answer. I have to be.
Maybe I’m not sitting in some empty space because I suddenly lost my ambition or direction. Maybe I’m just standing between identities. Maybe the previous version of me has finished teaching me what she was meant to teach, and whatever comes next simply doesn’t have a name yet. And maybe, for once, the goal isn’t sitting somewhere ahead of me waiting for me to catch it.
Maybe I get to choose it.
So I’m changing the experiment.
For a while, I’m going to stop asking myself what I want to become and start paying attention to who I already am when there’s nothing to prove, earn, fix, accomplish, or survive. I have a feeling the next version of Hannah isn’t going to arrive with another job title, degree, promotion, or perfectly mapped-out five-year plan.
She’s probably already leaving fingerprints all over my life.
I just need enough quiet to figure out which ones belong to **desire instead of duty.**
So that’s what the rest of this year is for.
Not quitting. Not disappearing. Not giving up on Giggling Frog.
Just making a little more room for Hannah🩷🩵🧡
