“When I got to his apartment I let him lead the conversation since I had said everything I needed to the last time we talked.

All the said after it all was said and done was “I’ll do whatever it takes to make you happy, because I realize my happiness is still very much attached to yours”.

I believe I kept my face neutral but my brain was bounding between: what the f**k, you’ve got to be kidding me, if that was the case we’d still be together and (I hope one day he eventually gets there) I see we’re still not taking any accountability or taking any action. “

It was the second time in a week it hit me, this is really done.

“I know it could be much worse. I know we could hate each other…and every interaction could be a s**t show. and I am grateful that it’s not like that…but that doesn’t mean I don’t feel what I feel. That doesn’t meant that it’s any less hard. It doesn’t mean that I’m still not grieving.”

And here’s the reason I share that one first. I just made another change. And people think it’s easy because I chose it. Can we stop telling each other how to experience something and how to feel about it or when to stop grieving it??

That is the why behind this book. To bring a space to let all feelings be valid.

Hi friends!!

Wanted to jump on and give and update and introduce myself Incase you’re new here!!

So if you’re new here, Hi I’m Phoenix, womens empowerment coach, author, and the host of the rising with the Phoenix Grace podcast. Where my aim is to have conversations that will help us all rise to the most powerful versions of ourselves!

I took some time off to transition my life, moving from Michigan to the Big Island of Hawaii. And now that I am getting settled I’m ready to jump back in.

Season 2 of the podcast will drop August 16th! This season I’m focusing on taking chances and big leaps! Lots of stories of connection, community and lifestyle!

I will also start dropping nuggets from my book “It wasn’t supposed to end like this” which is a personal account of almost everyday of going through my divorce. The good, the bad, the entertaining and the heartbreak.

And lots and lots of more things! So thank you for being here, for your love, support and encouragement and let’s get ready to rise!!
