A youth health service center in Kingsley will soon close its doors.

According to Mike Lahey, the Grand Traverse County Health Department Health Officer, K-Town Youth Health Services Center has seen a significant decline in clients and visits.

A proposed bill in Michigan is stirring debate as it seeks to lower the minimum age for obtaining a concealed pistol license from 21 to 18.

The legislation, House Bill 4586, introduced by Rep. Jason Woolford, R-50th District, aims to align the concealed carry age with the legal age for open carry, which is already 18 in the state.

REBECCA PARK UPDATE: Cortney and Brad Bartholomew, appeared Monday in Wexford County’s 84th District Court.

They were scheduled to be arraigned on charges, but the prosecutor asked to delay the arraignment until Tuesday because a complaint was not yet ready.

REBECCA PARK: Cortney and Brad Bartholomew, appeared Monday in Wexford County’s 84th District Court. They were scheduled to be arraigned on charges, but the prosecutor asked to delay the arraignment until Tuesday because a complaint was not yet ready.
