Studies have linked the use of social media to depression, anxiety, poorer sleep quality, lower self-esteem, inattention, and hyperactivity — often in teens and adolescents. (HealthLine.com)⠀
This is an odd quote coming from a social media manager, I know.⠀
My mission is not about bashing social media or saying we shouldn’t use it. It’s my J.O.B to use and understand social media. And I believe it to be a powerful and beneficial tool for our lives and businesses! ⠀
I care about using digital platforms while keeping our ethics and strong mental/emotional health intact.⠀

We should be able to use this tool without it damaging us. It requires awareness and conversation about balance between the real and digital world.📶⠀
We haven’t been taught how to handle living in the digital world while physically existing in the real 🌎. Therefore, it is no surprise that there can be negative side effects from these useful platforms.⠀
