There's a lot going on outside of furniture and my small little bubble life that I live, and it's got me feeling a wide range of different emotions. Anger, grief, empathy, frustration, confusion, fear, and every other emotion I'm not smart enough to put into words.
So I don't really have a lot to say and don't want to make a post like everything is alright and nothing is wrong, but I worked really hard on this, and I'm proud of this project and still wanted to share it.
A while back I restored a mahogany kidney bean desk for a customer, who's great grandmother had purchased it brand new and passed it down. Well the same customers reached out about a solid maple chair they had picked up that seemed to fit the style and period, but they wanted it restored to match the desk. Well after disassembling every joint, repairing a lot of broken supports, stripping, hand sanding every detail, and then toning and finishing, I'd say that it is a pretty spot on match!
Thanks for looking, thanks for following, thanks for engaging with my posts, thanks for being customers and trusting me with tour purchases and chairished items, and thanks for those that continue to be good people in the face of adversity.
