STRAIGHT OUTTA BABY HANDZ - This one takes us back more than a decade.

"Write drunk; edit sober."

Back then, I was always excited when a client brought me an idea that was a little different, and this one definitely fit the bill. The concept was simple: make it look like a glass of red wine had been set down on the arm, leaving behind the ring and spill, with the quote built right into the design.

It was fun, creative, and completely different from anything else I was doing at the time.

What I love most about looking back through old tattoos isn't just seeing how my work has evolved—it's remembering the people, the conversations, and the ideas that made certain pieces stick with me all these years later.

More than ten years have gone by, and I still smile when I come across this one.

Some tattoos are technically challenging.
Some are emotionally meaningful.

And some are just plain fun.

Some tattoos are about artwork. Some are about memories. Some are about identity.

This piece was inspired by the Stonewall National Monument marker—a tribute to a place that symbolizes courage, resilience, and the countless people who stood up to help create a more accepting world.

One of the things I've always loved about tattooing is being trusted with stories that matter. Behind every tattoo is a reason, a memory, a belief, or a piece of someone's journey.

This tattoo wasn't just about a location in New York. It was about honoring history, remembering those who came before us, and recognizing how far we've come while understanding there's still work to do.

I'm grateful to have been a small part of telling that story.

This one came out of the shop years ago, back when my camera was doing me absolutely no favors. 😂

Simple. Bold. Timeless.

I've always loved lettering tattoos because sometimes a few words hit harder than a full sleeve.

Whether it's proving doubters wrong, proving yourself wrong, or proving that little voice in your head wrong... the message still holds up all these years later.

Funny thing about tattoos like this—they age right alongside the person wearing them. The message means something different at 20 than it does at 30 or 40.

And honestly? That's what makes a tattoo successful.

There’s something really special about doing someone’s first tattoo.

This piece from a few years ago carried a lot of meaning for her, and I remember feeling incredibly honored that she trusted me to create something so personal for such an important moment.

The dragonfly, watercolor elements, moon, script, and DNA strand all came together to tell a much deeper story — one about strength, identity, growth, connection, and moving through life with grace even after everything you’ve been through.

I’ve always loved tattoos like this because they feel less like decoration and more like a piece of someone’s soul translated onto skin.

“Walk in grace and be fearless.”

Honestly, that’s such a beautiful thing to carry with you forever.

Being trusted with someone’s very first tattoo — especially one this meaningful — is never something I take lightly.

Another fun throwback from about 9 years ago.

Looking back through older tattoos is always such a cool reminder of the journey. You can literally see yourself learning in real time — experimenting with contrast, texture, dimension, composition, and all the little techniques that slowly become part of your style over the years.

This one was a geometric/hex-pattern piece with UV-reactive ink worked into the design, which was super fun to play with at the time. Under blacklight the hidden glow would come alive and completely change the feel of the tattoo.

I still really love the overall concept behind this one. Clean blackwork, layered honeycomb texture, and that subtle sci-fi feel the UV added underneath.

Every tattoo teaches you something, and it’s honestly wild being able to look back nearly a decade later and see all the stepping stones that helped shape where my work is today.

Still grateful for every client who trusted me along the way. 🖤
