Step 2: Cornrow Your Natural Hair
Create neat cornrows going straight back or in a pattern.
Beginner pattern:
6–10 straight-back cornrows
Tips:
Make braids firm but not too tight.
Leave enough space for the crochet hook.
You can sew the braid ends down or braid them together.

Step 3: Prepare the Crochet Hair
If the hair comes in loops:
Separate pieces gently.
If not pre-looped:
Fold each piece in half to create a loop.
Common crochet styles:

2. Create a Cornrow Base
Braid your natural hair into cornrows.
Common patterns:
Straight back
Circular (great for volume and versatility)
Keep braids neat but not too tight to avoid tension.

3. Secure the Ends
Tuck or sew down loose braid ends so your base is flat.
This helps the crochet style look more natural.

4. Prepare the Hair Extensions
If needed, pre-separate or fluff the hair.
For bulk hair, cut into manageable sections.

5. Install the Crochet Hair
Insert the crochet hook under a cornrow.
Hook the hair extension onto the latch.
Pull the hair through the braid to create a loop.
Pull the ends of the hair through the loop and tighten (this forms a knot).

6. Fill and Style
