A beautiful weekend for some hiking. Got to meet the AT legend Hawk who is on his 8th Appalachian Trail Thru Hike! Keep crushing it Hawk! He was an inspiration for me when I walked that footpath in 2022. I hear the trail calling again - one day 😁

A nice long weekend in Shenandoah National Park area to celebrate Kimberly’s birthday. We stayed at the Johnson Cabin - a rustic cabin owned by the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club in the Vining Tract area. Got in a few nice hikes and some exploring the area.

The (PATC) owns 49 cabins in PA, MD, VA, and WV.

Spent 3 days on the Old Loggers Path in north-central PA. A nice trip with good company. We camped at the two shelters.

The Old Loggers Path is a 27.8 miles hiking trail in north-central Pennsylvania, forming a loop through Loyalsock State Forest. The most commonly used trailhead is at the ghost town of Masten. The trail makes use of abandoned logging railroad grades originating in the late 1800s, and some roads originally built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. The trail is known for numerous vistas, rock formations, and scenic streams, and for the remnants of past industrial infrastructure reclaimed by the forest.

Had a great couple days on a section of the from Sterretts Gap to Big Spring State Park - 2 days 42 miles.

The Tuscarora Trail was originally built/created in 1997 (conceived in 1960) as an alternate to the . The trail goes from VA to PA (262 miles)

Thanks everyone for the messages and ideas in my job search! I accepted a position today as a Product Development Manager with Prominence Health Plan based in Nevada. Continuing to work from home.

I’ve been able to get out on a couple overnight trips and multiple day hikes. I got one more overnight trip planned before I start back to work. It’s been great meeting new friends and hikers in PA.
