🎉 TEEF has awarded a $12,897 grant to Ben Alley for three Gas Metal Arc Welding Machines at Troy High School’s AG Department! 🔧🔥

These machines will enable students in grades 9-12 to pursue advanced certifications from the American Welding Society, paving the way for employment in the welding or manufacturing industry. Instruction will start with flat welding and mild steel testing, progressing to horizontal, vertical up and down, and overhead welding. Advanced students will tackle stainless steel and aluminum in Practicum and Extended Practicum classes. 🛠️✨

Certified students will have the opportunity to construct impressive projects, including trailers, fire pits, agricultural machinery, hay equipment, and outdoor cooking setups. 🚜🔥

We are thrilled to support the growth and skill development of 75 students through this grant! 👏

The Troy ISD family is deeply saddened at the loss of a Mays Elementary School student who was involved in a car accident Monday evening. Two additional persons, former students, also lost their lives, while a fourth person was injured. Our prayers are with the families of the victims of this tragic accident.

The free summer meal opportunity for 2024 will be breakfast only at Troy High School, 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday. Troy High School is at 205 N. Waco Road in Troy. This will be June 3-27, 2024.
