What a great film, crew, and director! Can’t wait to release this one!!

Hi everyone!

Joe the director here. I took a nice long, much-needed hiatus from the void that is Facebook to buckle down with the team. Now I'm back, baby, to share with you that our movie A Void is nearing its arrival! The truth is we need your support now more than ever!

I know what you're thinking, "Hey Joe, what the heck took so long?" All I can say to that is the freakin' pandemic, man. Also, special things take time. I promise you we weren't slacking. With that said, I believe it will be worth your wait.

I look at this movie, and it's surreal to me what we were able to accomplish with a little budget and a lot of ambition. I'm endlessly grateful to my team for that. This looks like a million bucks. If any of you have movie dreams of your own, get in touch with the guys at APB Films. It's been a beautiful experience making this movie, and it's only further solidified for me that this is what I have to do for the rest of my life. It makes me feel alive, truly, and I feel privileged to do this with such a fine group of people.

A friend once told me before I made my first movie Museum that you're' lucky if you get 60 percent of what's in your head on the screen. However, the greatest compliment I can pay to everyone involved in A Void is about 90 percent of what was in my head is up there. I’d say the other 10 percent are things I would have never dreamed of. It's been a crazy journey from just a seed of an idea to watch it grow into its final form. After nearly four years of it living in my mind, it'll be a strange but somewhat sad relief to be rid of it.

Lastly, one thing I can always take away from this experience and look back on with immense pride is how we didn't settle for just "good" any step of the way. We wanted this thing to be as great as it could be. I'll be forever proud of that determination and persistence of vision.

Now that things are semi getting back to normal and winding down, we couldn't be more excited to share our film with you. From here on, updates will be coming at you regularly here and on @a_voidfilm on Instagram, including movie poster, teasers, trailers, and other content up until the very near release date that will also be coming at you soon. We're still figuring out the best way to roll it out, but I would love to do some kind of private screening/premiere that's safe for everyone (near and far) so the movie can be experienced how it was intended. We are currently exploring the best options to make that happen.

With that said, thank you for your patience and support. I hope you're all staying safe and doing well. We'll see you all soon!

NEW YORK - Zipped tightly into a black Albany Academy nylon athletic jacket, Theodore Bouloukos sipped strong black coffee from a French press, took a long drag on an American Spirit cigarette and mused about how far he will go for his art. "We were shooting an avant-garde film in East Hampton and I...
