I love having guests on the pod but it’s been special to keep our T & A episodes once a month where Amber and I give you an update on what’s going on in our lives and how we are dealing with the everyday things of being a women in their late 30s.

The goal of this pod has always been to resonate and make others feel less alone in things they are going through. This episode touches on a lot about motherhood & loss but also 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 ✨ proving there really is no specific timeline to follow.

“There is a future for me.” — said that within a day of learning she was paralyzed.

A crash at Angel Fire Bike Park left her instantly paralyzed, and within days a doctor handed her a pamphlet and told her she’d probably never walk again. But somewhere in the middle of all of that, she was scrolling Instagram, saw an adaptive athlete shredding a bike park, and something just clicked. She started showing the videos to everyone who came to visit her hospital room, telling them not to worry, she’d be doing that in a few months.

AccountabiliBABES has always been about more than just getting work done. It’s about showing up, feeling supported, and being around women who actually get it. 💛

I’m always thinking about ways to make it more. More connection, more value, more of those moments that make you glad you showed up.

19 plus-size adventurers. One of the seven summits. And the only gear that fit them barely made it back down the mountain.

From that experience, was eventually born — convinced by Kilimanjaro, fired up after a body-inclusive group hike where she met a bunch of badass fat hikers and got mad there was no gear for all the fat outdoorsy people out there. This week they’re both on the pod talking about what it actually took to build the outdoor apparel that should’ve already existed. We talked about the outdoor industry’s sizing problem, what real inclusivity actually looks like, and why the demand was always there. The product just wasn’t.

If you’ve been around a while, you know I wear a lot of hats, and have a lot of hobbies. Gym, bike, paddle, sled, bartend, personal training, marketing, podcast…the list goes on. Which means I am always on the search for the perfect do-it-all bag.

I don’t know that one bag can truly do it all. But a system? That’s a different conversation.

The 70L gear box isn’t just a bag — it’s a modular system. The inner & outer rails let you clip in dividers and smaller bags wherever you need them and the whole thing is weatherproof, stackable, and collapses flat when you’re not using it. It carries like a tote, hauls like a bin, and wears like a backpack.

For this reel I had the 25L bag clipped in on one side with my clean clothes for my bar shift, and on the other side — the gear: helmet, shoes, hip pack, gloves, glasses. Easily transitioning from one thing to the next and able to see it all! 👀

An online therapist (hi ChatGPT) once told me: “when things feel messy or out of control, you gravitate toward containers — bags, totes, gear boxes, systems that hold things together. That’s not random. That’s regulation.”

That tracks. And RUX nailed it.

We talk a lot about “building something” or “making it work” but we don’t always talk about what that actually looks like day to day.

Not one job.
Not one clear path.
Not even one consistent schedule.

Just…figuring it out as you go.

is juggling writing, marketing, climbing, and being a mom, and it’s not always this clean, aesthetic version of balance. It’s piecing things together, adjusting constantly, and making it work in the season you’re in.

We got into:
• What freelancing actually looks like
• Feeling behind or like you don’t know enough
• Trying to be productive when your brain is just…not there
• And how hard it is to do work + life + everything else at the same time

Also…we got into how to make friends as an adult and honestly, that might’ve been one of the most relatable parts 😅
