HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM THE DEMON SLAYERS! 👻🎃

We kicked off with the annual trunk-or-treat at school, then headed to the baseball stadium for a trick-or-treat sponsored by , and wrapped up at . The kids had a blast, collecting lots of candy, gum, and toys. We loved seeing all the costumes and creative outfits.

YELLOWSTONE & GRAND TETON– geysers, wildlife, and tall peaks that make you pause and breathe.

WIND CAVE & BADLANDS – quirky formations that spark questions and lots of “wow” moments.

ISLE ROYAL & VOYAGEURS– kid-sized adventures on lakes and in forests, with canoe and ferry days.

THEODORE ROOSEVELT & GLACIER – wide valleys, wildflowers, and teamwork on multi-day hikes.

NORTH CASCADE & MT. OLYMPICS – lush moss, waterfalls, and rivers that invite splash breaks.

MT. RAINIER & CRATER LAKE– colossal views, pristine blues, and the scent of pine.

REDWOODS & LASSEN– ancient giants and lava journeys that remind us to protect what we love.

FAMILY TAKEAWAY

We traveled withour 3 kids at a pace that fit everyone’s mood and stamina.

- Each stop included a simple nature Q&A: “What do you notice? What do you wonder?” It turns every hike into a tiny science lesson.

- Practical tips that helped us: sun protection, layers, snacks that fuel adventures, lightweight binoculars for wildlife, and a small nature journal for doodles and discoveries.

- Our family rules: leave no trace, tread softly, and share what we find with others—whether it’s a compliment to a ranger or a helping hand to a sibling on a steep path.

- The big takeaway: big adventures start with small steps, and every park visit plants a seed of stewardship and wonder.

CHASING EXTREME POINTS OF THE LOWER 48!

From Key West’s sunny buoy promising a 90-mile tow to Cuba, to the Northwest Angle in Minnesota where the land hugs the lake at the edge of the U.S., then west to Cape Alava’s wild Pacific edge, and a forest trail that felt like a secret path to joy.

Four corners with a lot of history and countless smiles and unforgettable memories.

🔸Southernmost Point Buoy, Key West, FL — about 90 miles to Cuba. Bright colors, bold vibes, sunset energy.

🔸West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, Lubec, ME — the eastern edge of the contiguous U.S. Sunrise-ready moment
