This is a throwback to 2012 from my ride-along with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department’s High Impact Offender Program (HIOP.)
That night undercover PCSD deputies tracked the movement of a habitual offender and witnessed the vehicle making a drug exchange in a grocery story parking lot.
Marked units followed the vehicle pulled over the suspect based on a traffic violation and found even more crimes.
The driver had a suspended license and all passengers were told to exit the vehicle because it was going to be towed for a mandatory 30 day impound (the law at the time.)
The driver and passengers had drug paraphernalia under where they were sitting, and a syringe had fallen out of the driver’s shorts during the search which he attempted to conceal and destroy by stepping on it.
The female passenger became irate, started making a scene when she was being arrested.
Deputies told her that taking contraband into the jail was an additional charge and she confessed that she had and 1/8 ounce of m**hamphetamine inside of her, in her crotch area.
A female deputy responded and unfortunately had to remove the baggie full of m**h from the woman’s private areas.
