New beginnings and closing old chapters.
After 6.5 years in our first home in Berwyn, we have officially moved to a new neighborhood in Downers Grove. Our “new” home is a gem from the 70s with good bones and a blank slate for us to add our personal touches over hopefully the next 20-30 years, not to mention a much larger backyard for the kids to enjoy.
It’s been a lot of work over the last six months trying to pack and prep a house for staging and selling, plus navigating an intense real estate market, but the process has been guided by the Holy Spirit since the beginning and our trust in the Lord’s providence has never been misplaced. I can’t wait to get settled in and start making this house a comfortable place to enjoy, for our continually growing family as well as our now-closer community.
We will certainly miss things about our first home and the memories made there will never be forgotten, but I’m so excited for all the future holds in this next stage of life.
