We loved gathering on Tuesday, December 16th for our December Chamber Coffee, graciously hosted by Ascend Federal Credit Union at Lakewood Golf & Country Club. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a great morning of networking and community connection.

We also heard from Ascend’s President & CEO, Matt Jernigan, who shared that this year Ascend has donated more than $500,000 to community partners to help support a stronger local economy and neighbors in need. Some of the local organizations Ascend supports include Second Harvest Food Bank agencies, Partners for Healing, the Hands-On Science Center, and the Chamber’s Creating Educational Opportunities program. Being a strong partner in Tullahoma and throughout Middle Tennessee is central to Ascend’s mission.

B&B Mercantile celebrated their GRAND OPENING yesterday and we were so happy to be a part of it!

We learned about how this charming business offers full service refills to household items like laundry detergent, fabric softeners, dishwasher soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, you name it! Just bring your bottle back for refills, it’s a great way to save and reduce waste!

We’re looking at a great setup for the 69th annual Tullahoma Christmas Parade tomorrow night. The rain that moves through earlier in the day will be long gone by parade time, so we’re in great shape. Skies will stay overcast, and temperatures will be right around 41° at the start with a light breeze out of the SSW. A perfect night to grab a spot on the route and enjoy one of the biggest traditions we have here in Southern Middle Tennessee.

And when I say tradition, I mean it. This parade brings folks in from all over, and the lineup this year is huge with 120 floats making their way through town. Schools, churches, local businesses, performers, community groups, and families all come out to be part of it. It’s one of those nights where you can really feel how much pride and heart this community puts into things.

The Tullahoma Chamber of Commerce deserves a special shoutout because they are absolutely instrumental in making this parade happen year after year. Their planning, coordination, and commitment are a big reason this event continues to grow and bring so many people together. They put in an incredible amount of work behind the scenes, and it shows.

And if you can’t make it out in person tonight, you’re still covered. The parade will be livestreamed on Channel 6 and on YouTube thanks to TUA LightTube. So whether you’re watching from home, from out of town, or just staying warm under a blanket, you’ll still be part of it.

All in all, it’s shaping up to be a fantastic night. Bundle up just a bit, bring the family, and enjoy the Tullahoma Christmas Parade!
