Our Story

Show Horse magazine was founded by Richard T. Hudgins and Derick W. Mann. Hudgins is a fourth generation show horse enthusiast, a Journalism major from the University of Georgia, and has had a 30 year stellar career in the equine press. Mann is a third generation show horse enthusiast with a keen eye for graphic design and a strong business acumen. The two worked together successfully on three publications before they took the leap of faith to go out on their own and have proved that with hard work and determination the American Dream is alive and well!
