Before that first bell rings, you can set the tone for the whole day—and it doesn’t take a complicated routine. Just a few minutes of reading together can:

1️⃣ Build Confidence – Familiar stories and favorite characters give kids a mental “win” before they even walk into class.

2️⃣ Boost Focus – Reading requires listening and attention, which helps their brains switch from “play mode” to “learning mode.”

3️⃣ Create Calm – A quiet, cozy moment with a book keeps the morning from spiraling into chaos (even if socks still go missing 🙃).

✨ Bonus tip: Choose short, uplifting books or funny read-alouds—leave the heavy stuff for after school.
