Dangerous heat and humidity will develop Tuesday across much of northeast OK and in the Arkansas RIver Valley of west central AR Tuesday afternoon, with heat indices around 105 degrees common.

It does not have to be raining for lightning to be dangerous.

Summer storms can build quickly, and lightning can arrive before the heaviest rain.

That means waiting for the storm to look “bad enough” can put you too close to the danger.

If you hear thunder, move indoors.
Do not wait for rain.
Do not wait for darker skies.
Do not wait for lightning to look close.

When thunder roars, get indoors.

First time in well over a week that I have been able to sit and just relax for a
Min. We are living in this beautiful rv park and back in the back where it’s quiet and finally taking a breath. It’s truly been an exhausting mentally and physically 2 weeks. I quick trip to Indiana and back and then back there again in a few days for about 3 weeks. Love my Oklahoma though. My home and always will be.
