After retiring early, we spent months living in Da Nang, Vietnam, Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to see what everyday life was really like, not just as visitors, but imagining what it would feel like to call each place home.

After our walking tour, we found this cool Mexican restaurant in a beautiful neighborhood close to the Palace of Parliament. The food was amazingly delicious. We realized that this was the first Mexican food we had since we left the US. 😋 Another great day in Bucharest, Romania 🇷🇴.

We were so impressed by the stunning architecture that lined our path to Old Town Brașov 🇷🇴. Even before reaching the historic district, I found myself stopping every couple of steps to capture the scenery. This ancient city is overwhelmingly beautiful! 🤩

How much does it actually cost to live in Taiwan for two months? 🤔

We tracked every expense during our 60-day stay, from rent and groceries to healthcare, transportation, phone data, and travel insurance.

One thing that helped us save money was choosing to live outside the major cities. It meant longer commutes, but it also gave us a chance to experience a side of Taiwan that many visitors never see.

This is the final video in our Taiwan series, and we hope it helps anyone thinking about visiting, retiring, or slow traveling in Taiwan. 🥰

We have been wanting to try one of the teahouses in Riga, so after we went to donate some stuff to charity today, we decided to visit Tabu Teahouse.

If you’re a tea lover, you would enjoy this cute little place on the outskirts of Vērmane Garden. Tabu has a huge variety of teas from all over the world, including a wide selection of Chinese teas. 🍵🫖

Jim got a pot of rich and creamy Tibetan tea. I picked the soothing GABA aged white tea, Gong Fu Cha style. We had a wonderful time chatting and drinking tea in this peaceful place for a couple of hours before we decided to head to a bakery on our way home. 🍰

Experiences like this remind us of why we love our nomadic lifestyle. ❤️

Some travel memories fade over time: The famous attractions, the restaurants, even the beautiful views. But the people you meet, those stay with you.

During our time in Taiwan, Amy had the opportunity to volunteer at Dharma Drum Mountain, and it became the most meaningful part of our entire trip.
