Hey friends and community! I’m stepping into my first year as a middle school counselor in a high-poverty area of Tulsa—and I need your help. 💛

Many of my students come to school carrying more than just backpacks—they’re dealing with real-life challenges that require extra care, support, and lots of love. ✨ Honoring Jane Bolin: A Legal Trailblazer ✨

Today, we celebrate Jane Bolin, a woman who shattered barriers and paved the way for Black women in law. In 1939, she made history as the first Black woman judge in the United States, serving on New York’s Family Court for 40 years.

Bolin’s legacy includes:
⚖️ First Black woman to graduate from Yale Law School (1931)
⚖️ Fighting against racial segregation in child services and public institutions
⚖️ Advocating for children’s rights and fair treatment in the legal system

Her work opened doors for countless women in law and beyond. Let’s honor her courage, resilience, and commitment to justice!
