Available to ADOPT at Town of Chelsea Animal Shelter❤️

I went to Chelsea Animal Shelter today with a camera and a watermelon-themed setup, hoping to give these dogs a little moment of joy, a moment where they felt special. And they were. Every single one of them showed up with wagging tails and hopeful eyes… like maybe this time it will be different. 💚❤️

Some of these dogs, I’ve photographed three separate times. ‼️ That’s how long they’ve been waiting. And now, the shelter is over capacity with dogs and nowhere left to put the next one that comes in. 🚨🚨

These dogs are:
🍉 Young
🍉 Fully vetted
🍉 Spayed or neutered
🍉 Kind, resilient, and still holding on to hope

They posed. They smiled. They let me dress them up and capture their personalities. But what they really need is a family. A soft place to land. A chance.

I had the joy of spending time with some incredible volunteers and staff at Tulsa Animal Services, photographing just a few of the sweet souls hoping for a second chance. 💛📸

Guess I accidentally made it TAS Thursday too. 😅📸

Spent the afternoon with these wonderful pups. Every one of these beautiful faces is available for adoption at Tulsa Animal Services and every one of them needs out. Some are already on the At Risk list. Others aren’t yet… but they will be if no one steps up. 💔

The number of dogs coming in daily is truly overwhelming. It feels like a never-ending flood and the shelter is beyond full. These dogs don’t deserve to become just another number.

🖤 They deserve homes.
🖤 They deserve love.
🖤 They deserve a chance.

📸 TAS Tuesday 📸

Every week I photograph the dogs at Tulsa Animal Services, and every week I leave knowing the same thing: they need more eyes on them.

The dogs you’ll see below are real. They’re sitting in a shelter that’s well over capacity. Some are already on the at-risk list, and others will be soon if no one steps up.

I try to capture them in a way that helps people actually see them; not just as shelter dogs, but as individuals with personalities, quirks, and potential. 🫶🏼

If you’ve been thinking about adopting or fostering, now’s the time. And even if you can’t, sharing their photos helps more than you think.

✨ July’s Happily Ever After Story: Chuck ✨

Every month, I love to share a “Happily Ever After” story, an update on one of the sweet souls I’ve photographed who has since found their forever home. This month, I’m thrilled to spotlight Chuck, formerly known as Bobby, who was adopted from Collinsville Animal Services

When I first met Chuck, he was just a baby, sweet, curious, and full of potential. Even then, he had those big, expressive eyes and the kind of face that made you instantly fall in love.

And fall in love someone did. ❤️

Chuck was adopted by his incredible mom, Amanda, and from the moment he joined their family, he knew he was home. He even gained a human sister who adores him and the feeling is clearly mutual. 💕

Chuck has gone from shelter pup to star student, he’s already completed two courses at Tulsa Dog Training Club and is now working through his third! He’s smart, eager to learn, and still just as handsome as ever; seriously, look at that face. 🐶

His days are now filled with training, tail wags, and tons of love. Whether he’s soaking up cuddles from his sister or showing off his latest tricks, Chuck is living the life every dog dreams of.

Thank you, Amanda, for opening your heart and home to Chuck and for giving him the beautiful life he deserves. Watching his transformation from hopeful shelter pup to beloved family member has been pure joy. 💫

And thank you to Collinsville Animal Services for helping Chuck find his forever. 🫶🏼

Lola is just as sweet and gentle as she looks. She’s soft, calm, and soulful. However, heartbreakingly, she’s one of the dogs currently at risk of euthanasia if no one steps up in time. 🚨🚨

All of the dogs you see here are currently available. Some are already on the at-risk list, meaning they only have days left. Others are quickly running out of time. 💔

Denali (A174582) was adopted… but has been returned after chasing the family’s cats. This handsome, talkative husky pup is back at the shelter through no fault of his own—he just needs a cat-free home and someone who understands active, vocal, high-energy breeds like him. 🐾🚫🐱

Denali was already on the At Risk list once before… and now that he’s been returned, we don’t know how much time he’ll have. Please don’t let him fade into the background. He deserves another shot—a real one.
