📣 Kermit’s dad recently had the wonderful opportunity to join Sandy Weaver and SHOW-SAFE’s Leading the Pack podcast for a conversation about sportsmanship, community, mentorship, and the relationships that make dog shows special.

One of the things they discussed is something our family believes deeply: dog shows are about so much more than ribbons. The friendships we build, the lessons we learn, and the people who encourage us along the way often leave the biggest impact.

Those same ideas inspired More Than a Ribbon: A Dog Show Story, the children’s book featuring Kermit and the pack.

A huge thank you to Sandy Weaver and SHOW-SAFE for the invitation and for the important work they do to help create a positive and welcoming dog show community.

I’ve been lucky enough to visit KOTV - News On 6 a few times over the years, so seeing LeAnne Taylor News On 6 read More Than a Ribbon during story time was pretty incredible.

We’ve always enjoyed our visits to the station, and it was an honor to see LeAnne share the book with her audience.
