The Teegarden family wants to thank everyone in Tulsa and around the country who have sent condolences about our son David Teegarden Jr. We are heartbroken. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 7, 3:00pm at the Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel. (1402 S Boulder Ave W).
For those who want to send flowers, please consider instead donating to the Red Dirt Relief Fund. It was a cause David Jr. believed in and played many events to help support.

Record with Legendary Grammy Winner David Teegarden

David M. Teegarden, Sr. is a member of the 1960s and 1970s psych-rock group Teegarden & Van Winkle. He is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and currently lives there with his beautiful wife Lisa. Although he has traveled the country; David is proud of his Oklahoma roots and was directly involved with the multitude of award-winning musicians that has come from his home state. David has an appreciation for a variety of musical genres and especially enjoys working with the next generation of musicians that are just beginning their musical careers. Teegarden has worked with many musicians including J. J. Cale, Eric Clapton, Leon Russell, Joe Walsh and Bob Seger. In 1981, Teegarden won a grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for "Against the Wind" with Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band. David appeared on the Smokin' O.P.'s album with Bob Seger as a member of Teegarden & Van Winkle, with guitarist Michael Bruce (not the Michael Bruce who played with Alice Cooper) and also appeared on the albums Nine Tonight, Stranger In Town, Against The Wind, and Fire Down Below with Seger, as a member of the Silver Bullet Band. Teegarden currently owns and runs Teegarden Studios, located in the historic Pearl District of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
